Poduct Description
This is LilyPad Arduino - the main board consisting of an <ahref="https:>ATmega328P@8Mhzwith the Arduino bootloader and a minimum number of external componentsto keep it as small (and as simple) as possible.
Board will run from 2V to 5V.
This version of the LilyPad now usesthe new ATmega328 at 8MHz. Arduino 0016 supports the Arduino Pro Mini328/8MHz. Use this setting when using this new LilyPad 328.
The latest version of the LilyPad supports automatic reset for eveneasier programming.
The back side of the LilyPad is now completely flat! It has a surfacemount programming connector to keep the header from poking through.
The LilyPad is compatible with an FTDI cable and the ArduinoLilyPad/Pro/ProMini Programmer.
This allows the LilyPad to work with the auto-reset feature used in theArduino software.
The LilyPad is no longer compatible with the LilyPad USB Link.
Each LilyPad was creatively designed to have large connecting pads toallow them to be sewn into clothing.
Various input, output, power, and sensor boards are available. They'reeven washable!
Dimensions
• 50mm outer diameter
• Thin 0.8mm PCB
Overview
The LilyPad Arduino is a microcontroller board designed for wearablesand e-textiles. It can be sewn to fabric and similarly mounted powersupplies, sensors and actuators with conductive thread.
The board isbased on the ATmega328P.
Summary
Warning:Don't power the LilyPad Arduino with more than 5.5 volts, or plug thepower in backwards: you'll kill it.

Operating Voltage 2.7-5.5V
Input Voltage 2.7-5.5 V
Digital I/O Pins 14 (ofwhich 6 provide PWM output)
Analog Input Pins 6
DC Current per I/O Pin <spanstyle="font-weight:>40 mA
Flash Memory 32 KB(of which 2 KB used by bootloader)
SRAM 2 KB
EEPROM 1024 bytes
Clock Speed 8 MHz
Programming
The LilyPad Arduino can be programmed with the Arduino software(download). *Note*, the LilyPadArduino should only be programmed withsoftware versions 0010 or higher. You can program it with earlierversions, but all of the time related functions will be off (twice asslow as they should be).
The ATmega168V on the Arduino LilyPad comes preburned with a bootloaderthat allows you to upload new code to it with the Arduino software. Thebootloader on the most recent LilyPad boards is Limor Fried's "no wait"bootloader. When the LilyPad is supplied with power, its Arduino sketchstarts immediately. The bootloader is triggered only when the resetswitch is pressed. You can also bypass the bootloader and program theATmega168V through the ICSP (In-Circuit Serial Programming) header; seethese instructions for details.
Power
The LilyPad Arduino can be powered via the USB connection or with anexternal power supply.
If an external power supply is used, it should provide between 2.7 and5.5 volts. This can come either from an AC-to-DC adapter (wall-wart) orbattery. Again, don't power the LilyPad Arduino with more than 5.5volts, or plug the power in backwards: you'll kill it.
Physical Characteristics
The LilyPad Arduino is a circle, approximately 50mm (2") in diameter.
The board itself is .8mm (1/32") thick (approximately 3mm (1/8") whereelectronics are attached).
Washability
Wash at your own risk - we do ;)
We recommend washing projects by hand with a mild detergent.
Drip dry.
Make sure you remove your power supply first!
